Institutional context

  • Google is a search engine used to find information and websites modified to your search at is used by the public
  • Google began in 1996 by students at Stanford University in California
  • It is served globally which means it is available in most countries
  • Revenue of Google is $38 Billion
  • Our group have used google search engine number of time in order to to research on particular artist or going to other networking sites in order to retain information.
  • For our production we need to get information which Google was able to provide by typing and searching on the engine.
  • Google is most reliable as it is fast and efficient and gives number of results upto a million and more
  • It have me and my group the chance to research and plan our production work and gain ideas by going onto Youtube analysing particular music video and then posting it onto Blogger in order to retrieve the highest mark as possible
  • We can also use Google video to distribute our music video online and get free reviews/audience feed back. The good thing is its easy to upload and free.
  • YouTube is a video sharing website where public are able to see the latest video at any time
  • It was founded in February 2005
  • The type of site YouTube is a video hosting service
  • Many mainstream music artist video are uploaded onto YouTube and also have their own page where you can join and subscribe.
  • It includes movie clips, TV clips, music videos, educational video etc
  • Most YouTube videos are uploaded by individuals, this give people the advantage to express ways by creating videos and also people that have some of talent can upload video which can be seen by mainstream artist, it has been said to be a way of promoting someone
  • Registered users are able to upload unlimited videos but has to follow the rules and regulations, on the other hand unregistered users can watch unlimited videos.
  • To be able to view YouTube clips your computer or laptop has to have Adobe Flash Player plug in which has to be installed onto the browser
  • Being able to go onto YouTube has gave the group ways of analysing music videos and also for our production it has given us ways to identify what to add on your music video which is part of our planning and research
  • This is also a multinational video website we can distribute our video for free. We can also get a variety of audience feedback and reviews to help us. 
  • YouTube can also be a source of income through high views our video could get. This means advertises will want to want our video link to their adverts.
