Performance

Performance
we went out to film our performance to test shoot to see how it will look. Here are some pictures of Alfie and Liam showing of there skills

  • In Southbank skate park we want to show BMX and skateboard performances as the artist is hanging out with her friends and also getting involved. We already have found friends who are going to show skateboard/BMX tricks in our video who are Alfie, Liam and Minhazur.
  • Skating and bike riding are popular urban teenage sport associated with the punk and grunge teenage culture. Like we have seen in Avril Lavigne-'Sk8ter boi' there are some punk teenagers skate boarding and riding BMX on the streets which goes with the pop rock music genre.
  • In our music video scene in the skate park the artist is represented as an punk character enforced by her costume, location, activities etc.

  • This bike trick is called grind and we want to show some of this trick in our music video in South bank skate park. It can be done on a BMX or on a skateboard which makes it easier to find someone who can do at least one.
  • If we are able to get this shot by editing we can add special effects such as slow motion zooming in to emphasize the cool trick and maybe add sparks on the wheels by editing.

  • We also want to include some wheely tricks to have mixed types of tricks to please our young teenage audience who will find this appealing. This trick is when the front or back wheel is in mid-air.

  • The second part of the music video in Southbank will mainly have spontaneous performance to excite and wow the audience with great performance. This will keep the audience watching to see more instead of just watching the artist singing. The pop genre has increased dance performance in music videos such as break dancing which i will talk about next.

  • Break dancing is a big part of urban youth culture especially urban street culture. This is also common in Pop, Grime and Hip Hop music videos for example N-Dubs -'we dance on' which is inspired by break dance film 'step up'.
  • In our music video its important to show this performance which attracts the urban teenage audience who are also part of our target audience.
  • The ideal location to feature break dancing will be in Southbank Skate park because the graffiti and skating in Southbank link to break dancing because they are all urban   activities that teenagers enjoy doing.
